Decentralized data network Vana has announced the acquisition of the Memory Protocol team, with Memory lead Jack Spallone joining Vana to oversee technical integration. The specific acquisition price has not been disclosed. The upgraded version of the Vana application is now live in Beta testing, providing users with a personal data server deployed on local devices. Users can control their data, connecting information such as Spotify listening history, Oura sleep data, calendars, and cross-platform conversations. Data is stored locally, and users can grant or revoke access permissions for third-party applications at their discretion.
