Swyftx Obtains Australian Financial Services License, Seeks Cryptocurrency Payment Opportunities

Australian cryptocurrency exchange Swyftx has obtained an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) and plans to seek opportunities in the cryptocurrency payment sector. This license allows Swyftx to offer derivative products such as cryptocurrency options or futures to retail customers and authorizes it to provide non-cash payment services, thereby enabling payment services for businesses and retail customers. Andrea Yuen, the interim co-CEO of Swyftx, stated that after obtaining the payment service license, the company will no longer be just a pure cryptocurrency spot exchange. Currently, Swyftx does not hold an AFSL for spot cryptocurrency trading.
