Matrixport Ventures Completes $3 Million Equivalent in Gold-Token XAUm Strategic Reserve
BlockBeats News, July 10th, Matrixport CEO John Ge stated on social media that the group's investment arm, Matrixport Ventures, has completed a $3 million equivalent initial strategic reserve of the gold-backed token XAUm and plans to continue accumulating in stages to strengthen the robustness of its financial reserves.
The tokenization of Real World Assets (RWA) is a key path to accelerating the integration of traditional finance and crypto finance, and gold has demonstrated strong product resilience in the current economic context. As a non-sovereign value asset, the gold token XAUm possesses both physical gold and on-chain attributes, providing long-term strategic value to hedge against cyclical fluctuations and inflation risks. XAUm is emerging as a new choice for institutions to globally allocate assets.
Matrixport will continue to promote the on-chainization of value cornerstone assets represented by gold through its RWA platform Matrixdock, building an on-chain financial ecosystem covering trading, lending, asset management, and other scenarios to help investors achieve efficient and high-quality global asset allocation.
