Florida independent gubernatorial candidate Frank J. Russo has announced that he will accept cryptocurrency donations for his campaign, making him the first candidate in the state to do so for the 2026 gubernatorial election. All cryptocurrency donations will comply with current federal and state campaign finance laws. Russo presented his plan at the Consensus conference to transform Florida into a leader in blockchain and digital asset investment, attracting blockchain companies, fintech startups, and Web3 entrepreneurs to the state, while directing state-level investments toward emerging technology sectors.
