Clearstream adds XRP, SOL, ADA, AVAX to crypto custody service

Clearstream has expanded its institutional crypto custody service to include six additional digital assets: XRP, Cardano, Solana, Litecoin, Stellar, and Avalanche, bringing the total to eight assets. This expansion allows institutional clients broader access to crypto assets beyond Bitcoin and Ether. The service utilizes Crypto Finance as a sub-custodian, maintaining compliance within Deutsche Börse's regulated framework. The move aligns with increasing demand for MiCA-compliant crypto assets in institutional finance. Clearstream, a major player in Europe's settlement and custody sector, aims to meet the regulatory and operational needs of banks, brokers, asset managers, and trading firms. The expansion reflects a shift in institutional access to include more than just Bitcoin and Ether, as the new assets have significant public markets and user bases. Additionally, Deutsche Börse Group is enhancing its digital asset services, partnering with Circle to integrate USDC and EURC into its trading and custody network.
